Drive to Bolzano, park in one of the Bolzano’s parking garages and take the cable car up (follow the signs for Ritten/Renon – big brown circular building). Once you are up, and off, head over to the small train station and take the train that will take you to different areas found on this map. This is all super easy and family friendly. Note that the train does not go all the way to the top but you can get off at the last stop and hike to take the lift again to go higher.
